Docking and molecular dynamics simulation shows tetrahydrocannabinol(THC) disables SARS-CoV-2 virus

Scientists found tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a cannabinoid of cannabis, gave promising results to inhibit the main protease of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. If the spike protein main protease of SARS-CoV-2 virus is inhibited, the virus cannot replicate itself, and therefore it become disabled.

While testing structurally modified compounds of hydroxychloroquine, remdesivir, scientists found tetrahydrocannabinol is inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 virus to replicate significantly. This research has been reviewed by South Korean scientists, who had also reported that THC inhibits SARS-CoV-2 virus to replicate. They found THC was even better than the optimal main protease inhibitor model α-ketoamide 13b which was suggested by the China and Germany scientists.

In conclusion, we do not need to fear SARS-CoV-2 virus and its mutants, as we do clearly have a cure, which is historically proven. We need to realize that we DO have alternatives other than just the controversial COVID19 vaccine. We do not need to panic.
